2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Squarespace Ireland Ltd., Le Pole House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, Ireland. When you visit the site, Squarespace automatically processes technical data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Squarespace may transfer data to its parent company in the United States on the basis of appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.
3. Analytics and cookies
This website uses Squarespace Analytics to understand in aggregate how the site is used, for example page views and traffic sources. Analytics cookies are disabled on this website. The analysis is therefore carried out without analytics cookies and is not used to identify individual visitors. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of this website under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website only sets cookies that are strictly necessary to run it securely and reliably, on the basis of § 25 (2) TDDDG. These do not require consent. I do not use advertising or tracking tools from third parties.
4. Contact by email
If you contact me by email, I process the information you send me in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or a possible engagement, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. I delete enquiries once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.
5. Links to external services
This website links to external services: my newsletter on Substack, Calendly for scheduling calls, and LinkedIn. No data is transferred to these providers when you visit this website. Only when you click a link do you leave this site, and the respective provider processes your data under its own privacy policy and as its own controller.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, email me at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
